7-12-41 ATTACK ON PEARL - Cameo

December 7, 1941, remains an important date in World War II in the memory and history of the United States. On this date, the Japanese air force bombed the American fleet anchored at its naval base at Pearl Harbor on Oahu, Hawaii.  At the time, the United States was a neutral country in World War II.   The air raid on Pearl Harbor, launched from aircraft carriers but without yet a declaration of war, led the United States, struck by surprise and with very serious and extensive damage to property and lives, to declare war on Japan immediately the following day.

The cameo represents a moment of the attack of a Mitsubishi A6M , also known as Zero on one of the runways of the island of Oahu that devastates a row of Curtiss P40 aircraft, a typical aircraft positioned in the Pacific bases while all around is explosions, fire and flames with the crews who try to intervene to put out and protect as much as possible.
