This work is part of a series in which the painter A. Tassi pays homage to his great masters by painting small mixed-media panels reproducing details from famous works. In the present painting, Tassi pays homage to Pablo Picasso by reproducing a detail from "Arlecchino Pensive," a painting executed by the Spanish artist in 1901 and held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The master copy by A. Tassi fully adheres to the Picasso-inspired style associated with the Spanish artist's so-called "Blue Period."
