Description of the work
Description of the work
In the history of art, a clear distinction can often be made between currents
figurative or abstract stylistic. However, when an artist's aim is to
to represent an object that corresponds to phenomenal reality but,
at the same time, this border is full of hidden and symbolic meanings
can become labile. Symbolism or Expressionism are stylistic currents
emblematic in having interpreted reality in a conceptual sense with a
iconic rendering of images and a symbolic interpretation in the use of color.
In the pictorial production of Alessandro Kokocinscki abstract and figurative
mix almost without any sort of continuity. The subjects preferred by this
painters are basically symbolists and surrealists, but everything is transfigured
in an extremely experimental language always aimed at finding strong expressiveness.
Alessandro Kokocinski's starting point always remains reality
sensitive, of which he leaves a clearly visible trace in the work. However, the
reworking of the portrait or the subject of the "nude", leads, on the part of this
painter, to the communication of a strong expressive tension. The tension
Kokocinski's experimental work is expressed above all from a formal point of view,
in fact in his language one can find different aesthetic instances of art
contemporary. First of all the expressionist synthesis of the subjects, reduced
to the essential from a nervous trait that simplifies the forms with a rhythm
excited. As regards the colour application, the artist refers to a
almost exasperated gestures, dictated by his irrepressible creativity. From
chromatic point of view, finally, Kokocinski is inclined towards a palette in
in line with the expressionism of his style: the colours can be electric and acid,
as well as cold and opaque, in their provocation.
