The human figure has always been at the center of artistic research. Alessandro Papetti (Milan 1958). After completing his classical studies, he devoted himself to painting, beginning his exhibition career in the 1980s. After several solo shows, he won the 30th Milan Biennale in 1987 and exhibited at the Permanente, the Biennials in 1989 and 1993, at Arte in Permanente in 1990, and at Sette giovani artisti in 1992. His works feature portraits of women, figures, and interiors, seen from above. They present a quadrangular vision of reality and a keen attention to detail. His work is characterized by the strength of his strokes and the rapidity of his gestures; architectural spaces also become a representation of an inner state.
