Antonio Manzoni also stands out for the complexity of his highly elaborate painted surface. The artist has developed a remarkable technique that allows him to lay down a dense, textured color on the support. On this layer, the painter can then intervene with more calligraphic interventions, using less vigorous gestures. All this to make the work even more expressive.
