It's worth remembering how, immediately following the realist movements of the 19th century, the Impressionists also placed great emphasis on the everyday, on everyday life, with a certain predilection, however, for the frenetic pace of the city, the crowds, the traffic, and typically bourgeois settings. Antonio Placido is a painter born in Foggia in 1951. He began painting in his early school years, initially at the Art School in Melfi and then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia and Urbino. Both in his choice of subjects and his method of execution, we can say that Antonio Placido operates within the realm of classical, figurative art, while also displaying a certain naïve approach to his compositions. His desire to achieve lightness and simplicity in representation is evident, with the aim of imbuing his artwork with primordial values ​​of purity and innocence.
