The work reproduces an Adoration of the Magi by the German painter Peter Paul Rubens, who lived between 1577 and 1640.

The tapestry reproduces Rubens's original with excellent execution, transposing onto the fabric, as much as possible, the same dynamism and expressive force of the great Baroque painter. The large, monumental masses of bodies, covered by large, flowing drapes, are arranged in a circular compositional rhythm, triggering an unstoppable movement in the work. The scene is crowded and also receives a vertical thrust upward.
