The woodcuts were taken from a 1607 Bible illustration.

The prints are of remarkable workmanship and fully reflect their didactic-illustrative intent. The balanced and harmonious composition is still based on Renaissance aesthetic canons. This can be seen in the construction of the perspective space and also in a certain monumentality of the subjects, in their ample draperies. The decoration on the sides, consisting of masks and lozenges, is also noteworthy. Technically, the image was created using dense hatching, which not only enhances the subjects' plastic qualities but also emphasizes the play of light and shadow.

The woodcuts are the work of a skilled 17th-century master in a classical style. The certificate of guarantee from the "Casa del Collezionista" in Pistoia attributes the print to the same period.
