Aurelio Barbalonga's landscapes demonstrate remarkable technical and compositional skill. Aurelio Barbalonga was born in Palermo in 1922 and passed away in Bologna in 2003. During the war, he was imprisoned in Greece and participated in the partisan struggle. From 1946, he established various cultural connections in France, England, and the Netherlands. In 1956, he founded an art school in the Marche region. In 1964, he moved to Bologna, where he founded the Schola Pictorum, which enjoyed extraordinary success. He participated in numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
