Bonzi Fabio - The Milky Way at the seventh kilometer

Fabio Bonzi was born in Bologna in 1943. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. His multifaceted talent paved the way for a diverse artistic career, spanning comic book panels published in the 1970s, magnificent paintings from the 1980s and 1990s, exhibited in galleries around the world, sculptures, and then film subjects, set design, and theater and film direction in Italy and Mexico. Throughout his career, he explored a variety of themes: political satire and social issues (comics and drawings), and eroticism (paintings). Thus, his pictorial style firmly echoes the Psycho-Erotic movement of the 1980s and 1990s, expressing itself through abstract forms and beautiful flowers with delicate, expertly contoured reliefs, concealing erotic fantasies in a tangle of masses and shapes that move as if to embrace the viewer.
