Bruno Ceccobelli (Montecastello di Vibio, 1952) is an Italian artist and a leading figure of the New Roman School. His research, born within the "return to painting" movement of the 1980s, is distinguished by a strong symbolic and spiritual orientation, fueled by the study of theosophy, alchemy, and Eastern philosophies. His works—paintings, sculptures, installations, and mosaics—investigate the relationship between matter and transcendence, between the visible and the invisible. Using materials such as wood, marble, bronze, paper, and mosaic, Ceccobelli constructs archetypal and sacred images. Art thus becomes a universal language, capable of transcending historical time. Central to his work is the idea of a work as a message of pacification and spiritual awareness. He has exhibited in major international venues, participating several times in the Venice Biennale. He lives and works between Rome and Umbria.
