COSAGA (AGATINA COSENTINO) - FLOWER VASE

Agatina Cosentino , aka Cosaga , was born in Catania . She lives and works in Livorno as a teacher and graphic designer. As a painter she dedicates particular attention to the production of landscapes created using oil , pastel, ink and charcoal techniques. He exhibits in Italy and abroad. A very private person, he made his painting his “religio”. In fact, his works are constituted as a sort of songs coming from the heart that “sing loudly” without “making noise” . In his portraits, Cosaga captures the psychological impulses of his characters, ordinary subjects linked to everyday events characterised by a sense of vital “industrious humanity” , which makes each “situation” represented a “coup de theatre” . The artist also created , on ecclesiastical commission, sacred representations intended for worship , preserved in the Cathedral of Livorno and in the Vatican Museums , whose actors are invested with a poignant sweetness and gentleness capable of enchanting and captivating the observer. The Madonnas, for example, have angelic features and are surrounded by a spiritual aura of mystical ecstasy that seems to enrapture them and remove them from the earthly dimension.
