Costantino di Renzo - DIY Pinocchio

Costantino Di Renzo's artistic practice is rooted in the great tradition of Italian figurative art, with its exaltation of volumes and plasticity. This tradition began in the Renaissance and was renewed in modernity with the experience of the Novecento movement and all the other movements associated with a return to order. Di Renzo began with Hyperrealism (with a certain predilection for the American school) before settling on a more symbolist and citationist approach. His is a contemporary Mannerism in which the refined and mysterious artificiality of his subjects blends with the sculptural hardness of the material.
