The elements of Amazonian culture are made up of multiple sensorial experiences, a universe marked as a place of multiple identities. The Amazon rainforest is alive, and its people are alive too. The rivers and forests of this universe carry symbols of life. In this context, the subjects are an integral part of this nature and this space that transcends the geographical realm to reach the imaginary, where symbolic expression permeates the enchanted universe of the forest.

In this scene of wonder, amidst canvases, colors, and brushes, I have materialized several legends with their enchanted beings that populate the rivers and the forest, identifying the relationship between nature and man and the profound influence it has on the lives of its inhabitants. The mythical and mystical narratives give us the sense that the river and the forest have a body, a soul, and a voice. It's as if they were convincing us to join them in the "Morada dos Deuses," cited by the poet Paes Loureiro.

In the beginning there was only mythical nature, and then man appears. Man and nature confront each other, fight, impose themselves, equal, unequal, non-conforming. Then man appears as the master of nature, but this nature is no longer the same as at the first moment; it is already modified the moment man appropriates it; nature changes, transforms. Even man is no longer the same: rather, he appropriates nature, subjugates it, destroys some of its forces and dominates others; he thinks of victory: both have lost their innocence and have entered history.
