Dino Tronchin was born in Treviso in 1918 and died there in 2003. A painter and goldsmith, he began his career in the art world in 1932, frequenting the studios of Giuseppe Beretta of Como and the painter Genzano Turri. His artistic career also turned to engraving, completing his training with the engraver Antonio Gentilin. He opened his own workshop in 1977. He lived in France before returning to Treviso. He was awarded the title of Master of Painting with an honorary gold medal from the Accademia del Fiorino in Florence. He was a friend of De Chirico, Fiume, and Tozzi, with whom he collaborated, creating engravings on silver and gold plates and embossed medallions.
