Description of the work
Description of the work
This painting is inspired by the scientific theory known as "The Butterfly Effect," a phrase used to describe the extreme sensitivity of nonlinear dynamic systems to initial conditions. In other words, infinitesimal variations in the initial conditions of an event produce large and growing variations over time. The butterfly effect, in chaos theory, states that "the flap of a butterfly's wings can cause a hurricane on the other side of the world." Modern science, quantum physics, and fractal geometry are subjects from which the artist draws inspiration, as they offer the possibility of interpreting life itself according to a model no longer mechanistic and Euclidean, but rather a completely new one that views reality not in terms of pure matter, but of energy in eternal motion and evolution. In the artist's paintings, this concept is often symbolically represented by the presence of butterflies.
