Here, an image resurfaces in our memory, or, more precisely, an emotion or fear we feel in our gut: the wind coming in gusts, buffeting the grass and the stalks uncontrollably. They move unpredictably. We feel the wind lashing our faces, and in the distance we see the foliage swaying, but then we focus on the grass going wild nearby. At times, it appears tiny and sprawling on the ground, at others, tall and fluttering, moving almost aggressively. Plenty of material to describe this sensation. We can smell it in the approaching rain.
