Certainly the first in the "Reemotions" series, works that focus on conveying a sensation, which for the most part is something the image evokes in our memory, something we've already seen and experienced and can feel on our skin. Something that comes from within us, uncontrollably. Memories always appear blurry, but sensations are always crystal clear. Lights, colors, sounds, scents, and noises. In Fabrizio's images, thanks to his painting technique, we can feel the sensations he wants to convey. We capture seasonality in the colors of poppies. That marvelous splash of color that always makes us smile when we see it emerge from the fields. Those simple flowers that we're used to identifying with a tiny colored dot that strikes our pupils, but which embody the feeling of spring, the first real warmth, and above all the myriad scents carried by the wind. The sunlight begins to become vertical and takes away depth from things. Only the play of mists on the horizon, generated by the earth's heat, allows for blurred backdrops. It's always wonderful to be enveloped in these colors and sensations. A sense of freedom, infinite space on a spring day. The air is still crisp, clear, and thick with scents carried by the light breeze.
