The work is an abstract composition. "Abstract" derives from the Latin term "abstrahere," which means to extract or draw out. The process of abstraction, in fact, consists of eliminating the particular and individual aspects of an object to derive a universal concept. From Kandinsky to Mondrian, from Pollock to Mirò, many painters have pushed the process of abstraction to the limit in their works, paradoxically creating pure forms and colors that do not exist in nature, or translating their emotions and instincts into images.

Fabrizio Trotta is a painter open to various styles and influences. His works are essentially based on perceptual stimulation, drawing on Piet Mondrian's exploration of harmonies and color balances, as well as Yves Klein's monochromes, as well as the influence of sound. Trotta proposes geometric constructions with a new type of expressiveness. His color fields are textural, dense with a raw color that forms raised streaks on the surface of the work, a characteristic that clearly differentiates him from his predecessors. Trotta typically allows no pauses; his structure is tight. In his Chromotherapy works, a black background often dominates, although in some cases the artist also employs variations on the theme, focusing his research on monochrome.

Fabrizio Trotta is a Calabrian artist born in Paola in 1973. From a young age, he displayed a rich sensitivity and a desire to express himself in various artistic forms. After a stint as a musician in Milan, he returned to Paola, where he devoted himself full-time to the visual arts, especially painting. His works are born from the encounter between spirituality and rough, tangible matter.
