Description of the work
The painting was part of the 2018-2019 installation in the Florentine church of Orsanmichele, also known in ancient times as San Michele in Orto , and was a loggia originally built for the grain market and later transformed into the church of the Arts, the ancient Florentine guilds.
The work, including its twin, represents the future walls of the New Heavenly Jerusalem, rich in gold and precious materials as described in the text of the Apocalypse.
The work is published in the exhibition catalogue published by Mandragora in November 2018.
