Landscape has always been a central theme in artistic research, both as a setting, as a backdrop, and as a subject itself. The naturalistic depiction of landscape has always been an artist's aspiration. Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance, then with atmospheric rendering in the 16th century, up until the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism.

Flaminio's landscapes are constructed entirely through color. It is a dense, textured color. Almost nothing is left to the drawing, and the composition is simply the result of the blending of different layers of paint. The application, as already mentioned, is highly elaborate; its essentiality synthesizes the objects, yet at the same time fills them with chromatic and luminous vibrations. In Flaminio's paintings, the hues are always vibrant and vivid.

The painter Flaminio is an artist who primarily paints landscapes, which he interprets with an artistic language based essentially on color. His technique can be considered a lively expressionism that simplifies reality, yet at the same time imbues it with light and color.
