The "Still Life" genre emerged in the early 17th century. It consisted of compositions of inanimate subjects, most often flowers or fruit. While initially it was an opportunity for painters to experiment with naturalistic or photographic reproductions of reality, with contemporary art, the "Still Life" also became a way of interpreting reality. Indeed, as happened, for example, in the Cubist avant-garde or in Giorgio Morandi, the in-depth exploration of objects was aimed at a conceptual representation, taken beyond the mere sensory aspect.

Floytarl's work is underpinned by a highly classical and traditional taste. This makes his style objective and highly didactic. The approach to his works is figurative, and the painter demonstrates his skill in achieving a perfect realistic rendering in a richly detailed representation. Despite this, he does not shy away from using a cursive style, composed of rapid strokes, to ensure greater vivacity and freshness in his execution. Thus, his brushstrokes display a certain level of synthesis, without ever compromising the clarity of the realist subject, but just enough to infuse the scene with a delicate lyricism.

Floytarl is a painter with a very classical conception of painting, expressed in a figurative language based on a perfect, objective rendering of nature. His technique, however, displays painterly traits that give his works a particularly lively quality.
