Genius of Italy. Dante Petrarca Boccaccio is a total work of art in book form conceived to mark the 700th anniversary of the writing of the Divine Comedy and is intended as a tribute to the founding fathers of the Italian language. The work opens with a text by Evghenj Evtushenko, one of the greatest living poets, which testifies to the relevance and universality of Dante's genius. Following are the lives of Dante, Petrarch, and Boccaccio by Renaissance humanist Giannozzo Manetti, and a selection of prose from De dignitate et excellentia hominis, published in Florence in 1547, a rare text unpublished in modern times. The texts are visually counterpointed by 76 images taken from illuminated manuscripts, the result of careful research by the FMR-Marilena Ferrari Foundation in libraries around the world. The edition is enriched by the artistic contribution of Maestro Marcello Jori. Ten plates inspired by the lives and works of the three great men of letters were created. Maestro Marcello Jori also created six splendid chromatic interventions, creating an ideal dialogue with the images in the illuminated manuscripts. The reproduction of these "modernly ancient" works required the use of a special six-color printing technique, perfectly and brilliantly rendering every subtle nuance of color.

Print run: nine hundred and seventy-five copies numbered in Arabic numerals from 1/975 to 975/975 and seventy-five numbered in Roman numerals from I/LXXV to LXXV/LXXV.
