Artist Giancarlo Orrù, born in 1948 in Lunamatrona, Sardinia, moved to Turin with his family at an early age, where he began his artistic career. In 1966, at the age of eighteen, he had his first solo exhibition. From there, he had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe, exhibiting his art from 1968 to 1973. Upon his return to Italy, he settled in Milan in 1977, where he opened his own studio with other artists. In 1977, he moved to Ripatransone and organized several exhibitions with the Pro Arte association. He has illustrated several books by Temistocle Pasqualini.
