Giannetto Cacciarini is an artist of reality: his work reflects a continuous quest to transpose the existence of his subjects onto the canvas. For Cacciarini, therefore, artistic practice becomes an all-encompassing experience, conceived to directly engage all the viewer's senses. This necessarily coincides with an in-depth investigation of the subject, of which Cacciarini seeks to understand every aspect. All this has led the painter to adopt a more classic hyperrealist language, in which technical and formal perfection demonstrates the fruits of his apprenticeship with the great master Pietro Annigoni. But much more often, Cacciarini transcends the illusory representation of reality for a more concrete approach. His subjects are then composed of real materials in collages that definitively break the two-dimensional space of the painting and enter directly into the viewer's reality.
