The human figure has always been at the center of artistic research. Since the classical age, the naturalistic rendering of human anatomy has been a primary goal of painters and sculptors throughout history. Giampietro Tugnoli was born in 1948 in Cellina di Leggiuno. He began his career as a professional painter in 1974. Since then, his career has been marked by numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad. A primarily figurative painter, he favors the palette knife technique, which gives his subjects an almost sculptural consistency.
