Artist Giuliano Censini's poetics are based on an abstract vocabulary, yet his works are concretely connected to the reality that surrounds him. Indeed, in his experimentation (which also includes the use of atypical materials such as jute, tar, and glued paper combined with gold leaf), he seeks to capture on canvas the deepest impressions inspired by the Tuscan landscape. Images of nature then blend together in various layers of color and texture, so that the work becomes a true epitome of the landscape. Vegetation, soil, and cultivated fields overlap in a complex spatial structure, the realization of which is possible thanks to Giuliano Censini's sophisticated technique, in which transparent layers of color combine seamlessly with raw materials.
