Landscape has always been a central theme in artistic research, both as a setting, as a backdrop, and as a subject itself. The naturalistic depiction of landscape has been a major aspiration for artists of every era. Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance; then with atmospheric rendering in the 16th century; and finally with the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism. Giuseppe Casali created a landscape where flowers and their colors are the protagonists. This type of floral view allows the artist to unleash his full chromatic flair in a composition in which an Impressionist stylistic register is taken to its extreme.

The entire composition of the work is aligned with the goal of reinterpreting and enhancing the polychromy of Nature, so the entire landscape structure is determined by an extremely complex, almost pointillist, hatching technique that gives shape to things, creates volumes, measures space, and, of course, records every minute perception of light and color. The painting's surface, therefore, resolves into a whimsical polychrome harmony expressed with a dense, creamy touch.

Giuseppe Casali, known as Pino, was born in 1946 in Cesenatico. A student of the painter Walter Masotti, he absorbed all his technical and spiritual teachings, eventually breaking away and embarking on his own artistic journey, leading to a truly individual artistic development. The artist has received glowing reviews and accolades from Sughi, Breddo, Brindisi, Cavallo, De Gregorio, Bacosi, Cappelli, and Italian art critics such as Sgarbi and Levi. He has won numerous awards and recognitions at art competitions and events.
