Splendid edition of the DECAMERON, made by Art'È, with sheets of Arches paper, in pure cotton, sewn and bound by hand, cover covered in drum-dyed leather and finished by hand.
ELVIO MARCHIONNI created the illustrative plates and the cover artwork:
12 color plates outside the text, made with the litho-serigraphic technique on high-quality BFK RIVES 100% cotton 250g paper, at the art printing house "L'incisione" in CORBETTA - Milan.
11 original illustrations created for this edition by Maestro Elvio Marchionni.
The cover work, entitled CARPE DIEM, consists of an original bas-relief sculpture measuring 44x27 cm, cast, covered in 1000 thousandths silver and patinated with a special manual process at the ARTISTICA "FARBEL" foundry in BRESCIA.
The stitching, binding, and cover of the volume, in barrel-dyed and hand-finished calfskin, with six ribs on the spine and gold inscriptions, were created using an ancient manual process by the Legatoria d´Arte del Libro in Todi.
