Description of the work
Description of the work
The work presented here was produced in a limited edition, in a total of 250 print runs numbered from 1/250 to 250/250 and 75 print runs numbered from I/LXXV to LXXV/LXXV. This volume is number 93 in the series. The volume is completed by a graphic work by Maestro Maurizio Orrico, personally numbered and signed by the artist. The texts were printed at Grafica Metelliana Spa, Mercato San Severino, on high-quality paper.
The Constitution of the Republic is the fundamental law on which the Italian State is based. It is the most important legal text within the legal hierarchy, consisting of 139 articles and 18 final provisions. The text was approved by the Constituent Assembly in 1947 and came into force on January 1 of the following year.
The artist chosen to accompany the volume with his art is Maurizio Orrico. Orrico was born in Cosenza in 1962. He began as a self-taught artist, initially experimenting with photography thanks to his father. Later, he ventured into painting on canvas on his own, turning his passion into a profession. In the early 1990s, he traveled to America several times, leading him to hold his first solo exhibition in New York in 1994. In 2010, together with Mimmo Paladino, he was featured in the Italian Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo. From photography, the starting point for painting and sculpture, he draws his unique analysis of light, image, and compositional balance that distinguishes his work.
