In addition to the text of "The Comedy according to the ancient Vulgate" edited by Giorgio Petrocchi, the edition includes an introductory essay by Professor Enrico Malato , ten color plates outside the text and six original illustrations created specifically by Maestro Alberto Sughi .

The ten plates outside the text were created using etching and lithographic colors printed on a flat press. The cover artwork, entitled Portrait of Dante Alighieri , by Maestro Alberto Sughi, is an original bas-relief sculpture measuring 32 x 24 cm, cast, covered in 925 thousandths silver, and patinated with a special manual process at the "Farbel" Artistic Foundry in Brescia, in a limited edition.
