The Adventures of Pinocchio - Mario Ceroli FMR Art'è

This edition of "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Carlo Lorenzini, Collodi, was produced in a limited edition of nine hundred and seventy-five copies numbered from 1/975 to 975/975 and seventy-five copies numbered from I/LXXV to LXXV/LXXV for the whole world. In addition to the original text of the novel, the work includes the introductory essay and the commentary on Collodi's characters by Cardinal Giacomo Biffi, eleven color plates outside the text, thirteen illustrated initial letters and nine dry-printed images taken from original drawings created especially for this edition by master Mario Ceroli. The texts were composed in monotype using Bembo 24 type and the letterpress printing was carried out at the "Stamperia Valdonega" in Arbizzano - Verona, on high-quality BFK Rives 100% cotton 180 gram paper, 45 x 32.5 cm, produced specifically for this edition by Cartiere d'Arches. The eleven plates outside the text were printed using the litho-serigraphic technique on BFK Rives 100% cotton 250 gram high-quality paper at the "L'Incisione" art printing house in Corbetta, Milan. The stitching and binding of the volume in barrel-dyed calfskin with six ribs on the spine and gold inscriptions were carried out according to an ancient manual process by the artisans of the "L'Arte del Libro" art bookbinding workshop in Todi.
