Description of the work
Description of the work
Lucia Nardelli (Bolzano, 1948) graduated with a degree in Sociology, majoring in economics and law, from the University of Trento in 1972 with a research thesis on "Relationships between urban structure and interethnic relations in Bolzano." Passionate about art, she later attended a professional design school, earning a diploma. To improve her use of various painting techniques, she began frequenting artists' workshops. From them, she learned the tricks of the trade in oil painting, watercolor, portraiture, ceramics, fabric painting, lithography, and graphic design. Graphic design remained her passion, which she furthered with Rina Riva at the Institute for Graphic Art in Merano and the International Center for Graphic Design in Venice, and then, starting in 2009, at the Kunstakademie in Bad Reichenhall (Germany) with Professor Jo Bukowski. His exhibition activity began in 1978. He participated in over a hundred solo and group exhibitions in Italy (Bolzano, Cagliari, Florence, Rome, Padua, Trento, Trieste, Venice) and in Austria (Innsbruck), Luxembourg, Germany (Wuppertal, Bad Reichenhall). Her university studies, however, steered her toward an administrative career, which she accepted, taking up employment at the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce. Her leadership role as deputy secretary general of the institution, combined with her artistic training, allowed her to organize and coordinate, between 1996 and 2013, the project for the renovation and enhancement of the Palazzo Mercantile and the establishment of the Mercantile Museum in Bolzano. They wrote about her Bruno Bandini, Paola Bassetti, Duccio Canestrini, Luciano De Carli, Mario Cossali, Eva Gratl, Giorgia Marotta, Pedro Fiori, Severino Perelda. Bibliography "Research Graphics 90"; "Man and Time"; "Light and Shadow"; "For a New Graphics" (Publishers: Institute for Graphic Art of Merano, International Association of Engravers of Rome, International Center of Graphic Art of Venice, “Gruppo 90”) Monographic catalogue 1996 (Published by the Association of Artists of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano) 1998 Exhibition at Castel Sant'Angelo in Novacella (Published by the Association of Artists of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano) "Women and Research" (Published by the Women's Documentation and Information Center of Bolzano) “Artists Today” (Editions of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – Italian Culture), 2002 “Agenda 2006” (Published by the Association of Artists of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano) 2015 Exhibition “Woman, Light, Color and Feeling” (Italian Federation of Women in the Arts, Professions, and Business – Padua) Exhibition “Artists with Special Status” (Catalogue for Exhibitions in Trento/Palazzo Thun, in Bolzano/Galleria Civica, in Sardinia at the Museo Sa Corona Arrubia in Villanovaforru (CA) and at Torre Sulis in Alghero and finally in Palmanova with several editions in 2016 and 2017) 2018 Exhibition "The Territory Seen by Artists" (Published by the Association of Artists of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano)
