Landscape has always been a central theme in artistic research, both as a setting, as a backdrop, and as a subject itself. The naturalistic depiction of landscape has been a major aspiration for artists of every era. Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance; then with atmospheric rendering in the sixteenth century; and finally with the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism.

Luciana Boscaro's style is highly personal and recognizable. Especially in her works where synthesis is most pronounced, she tends to reconstruct phenomenal reality through a process of redefinition through color. The structure of her canvases, in fact, is not constituted by drawing but, rather, by the depth conveyed by a color that is simultaneously material and evanescent. Luciana Boscaro, through the application of tactile surfaces of color, creates an interplay of planes that reconstructs reality almost plastically. The planes intersect, giving rise to a compositional complexity that renders the space conceived by the artist multifaceted. All this occurs within a composition that presents a coherent tonal unity.
