Luciano Lutring was born in Milan in 1937 and passed away in Verbania in 2013. He is best known for his criminal career, having committed numerous robberies. He was nicknamed "the usual machine gun man" for his habit of carrying the weapon in his violin case. Pardoned after 12 years in prison, Lutring devoted himself to writing and painting in the latter part of his life. He also participated in several exhibitions throughout Italy.
