Mara Marzola - Glacer

Mara Marzola is an artist originally from Ferrara who lives and works in Switzerland. Her painting is deeply rooted in her native land, inspired by the vastness and majesty of the Swiss Alpine landscapes, her favorite subjects. Hers, however, is a highly personal interpretation that transcends naturalistic conception to branch into expressionism, with an abstract and, at times, almost informal approach. Consistent with this aesthetic, even the brushstrokes become gestural in her interpretation of the landscape, reflecting the artist's spiritual connection with nature. The paint is composed of textured substances that develop the pictorial layer, even in relief, further stimulating the viewer's perception.
