Marco Vaccaro - Peruvian Woman

I grew up in a simple family, I have three brothers and besides them and my parents, the most important figures in my life were my grandmother Agnese and grandmother Rosalina.

I spent my summers and after-school activities with them. One of them was a seamstress and was a refined and elegant person who loved to paint. I vividly remember the scent of oil paints in the room where her passion came to life and where I experimented with various colors.

At the age of eight, I experienced two events that deeply affected me: the death of my grandmother and the move with my family to a small country town, also in the Vicenza area. I attended the local elementary school and was often teased by my new classmates for being different. To escape, I took refuge in my passions; even at school, I had a thousand things under my desk, from scraps of paper to sheets of paper filled with sketches of all kinds.

In high school I broke free of the chains and began to fully experience everything that could make me happy.

After finishing school, I was deeply unsure about what to do next, so I moved to Tuscany to work for a while. For the first time, I was far away from everything and everyone.

It was an important period that helped me turn my life around.

My financial possibilities were nil, but I wanted to do something more than work. I wanted to create.

A person I respect infinitely and with whom I still collaborate, who helped me grow professionally and realize my dream.

With her I run a tailoring workshop that I proudly call “Fucina Creativa”.

For me, painting is not just drawing color from the palette but also from within myself and conveying my emotions in every brushstroke.
