Mimma Leonori is a painter who lives and works in Ancona. She is the protagonist of an interesting art form of informal painting, in which the artist's gesture interacts with the expressive qualities of the material. Through the use of elaborate mixed techniques, the artist creates compact surfaces permeated by quivers, ripples, and symbolic interventions. The aesthetic impact is directly connected to an existentialist poetics of incommunicability, yet permeated by glimpses, flashes, and vital movements.
