Monica Michelotti

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, where he currently holds the chair of Artistic Anatomy. His studio is located in Palazzo Forti, Via Michelangelo Buonarroti, 1 Carrara.

A sculptor, painter, graphic artist, and creator of installations, artist books, object books, and artist mail, she began exhibiting in the 1980s with numerous solo and group art shows in Italy and abroad, both in public spaces and private galleries. Some of her works have appeared on book covers published by Franco Angeli in Milan and CLUEB in Bologna. Her interests range from experimentation with graphic-pictorial languages ​​to sculpture, with particular focus since 2008 on travel sculptures in the form of art books and object books. Her artistic sensibility has explored new forms of expression, using diverse materials. Her works incorporate musical influences from postal art and the world of multimedia. Since 1998, she has been pursuing a quest for personal introspection, using lived experiences, filtering them through her creativity and imagination to create paintings, sculptures, and environmental installations.
