He studied at the Carrara Academy of Fine Arts in Bergamo, where he won a cash prize and a gold medal, thanks to which he attended the nude school at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. In 1920, he devoted himself to the use of monochrome hues, depicting the agricultural world through an introspective examination of people who became the most emblematic characters of rural life. He died in Martinengo in 1947.
