In ten days I idealized and created this work, it is a more colorful New York than the one we know, or than the one we have simply seen in documentaries or films that we take for granted as being grayer and darker.
The effect I wanted to create in this painting was the power of color. I jotted down all the colors I felt inside me, first experiencing them and then immortalizing them right there on that canvas. It was liberating, instinctive, and truly exciting! Pure finger painting.
