The painter Nino Parola was born in Scarnafigi (Cuneo) in 1922. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, qualifying in Rome and teaching Art Education. He lived in Saluzzo, where he resided at "Villa Anna", Via Savigliano 107/B, and died there on July 21, 1999. The following is a biographical note by art critic Luigi Pennone.
Nino Parola was born in the small town of Scarnafigi, has lived and worked in Saluzzo for years, and is now renowned throughout Europe and overseas as one of the most significant and elegant exponents of "hyperreality" painting. His solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad have been highly successful. Critical essays and prestigious monographs have been dedicated to his work. His paintings are displayed in the most important art galleries and public and private collections in Italy and abroad.
