Her paintings feature the female figure in an original interpretation suspended between metaphysics and magical realism. In Patrizia Calovini, influences from De Chirico combine with an extreme objectivity inspired by Fernando Botero and Antonio Bueno. Her subjects are depicted with a compact plasticity, immersed in a rarefied and timeless space, in unnaturally symmetrical compositions.
