Description of the work
Description of the work
Pier Paolo Nudi's bronze sculpture Amour pour la Vie depicts a mother holding a newborn baby in her arms, while her eldest son extends his hand, longing to be embraced as well. The work delicately expresses the strong bond between mother and child, a love that grows and renews itself. The bronze lends solidity to the figures, yet at the same time highlights their gentleness, creating a balance between strength and tenderness. Nudi manages to convey the emotion of family affection directly and powerfully.
Pier Paolo Nudi's Amour pour la Vie, a unique bronze sculpture (#2 of 9), combines realism and symbolism, capturing a moment of family love. The figures are sculpted with soft lines that express naturalness and sweetness, while the bronze lends solidity and delicacy. The limited edition makes this work even more exclusive, highlighting its unique character.
Pier Paolo Nudi, a Calabrian artist born in 1971, lives and works in Rende. Initially a painter, he began his career depicting the surrounding landscape and countryside, but soon distanced himself from this theme to pursue a path of introspection, founding the "Artistic Introspectionism" movement. Over the years, his research has expanded to include sculpture, and his output has shifted toward conceptual works. Among his most significant series are "Segmenti Multipli," "Multivario," "Evanescenze," and "Dimensionale Umano." Appointed an Academician of the "Accademia Angelica Costantiniana" in Rome in 2008, his works are included in private collections in Italy and abroad.
