Pierpaolo Scimia - Stream of Consciousness

Pier Paolo Scimia is an artist from L'Aquila whose research has led to the creation of a pictorial language brimming with personality. His works are grounded in an Abstract Expressionism inspired by his experiments with typographic inks. The pictorial medium is saturated with a proliferation of pictorial motifs that, despite their instinctive nature, appear to repeat in a serial, almost mechanical fashion. The compositions are impeccably orchestrated, aesthetically speaking, with a perfect balance of solids and voids and essential two-tone tones that convey an unperturbed sense of balance.
