Flowers as a subject in themselves began to appear in still lifes, a genre that emerged in the early 17th century. Pietro Raimondo d'Aragona, born in Italy in 1942, of Spanish origins, graduated in Sociology and began his artistic career in the 1960s. In 1987, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Interamerican University of Florida, Department of State, USA, and was appointed Advisor for Art and Literature at Dominion University of Canada. He has held solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, receiving several awards.
