Surrealist aesthetics emerged around the 1920s and encompassed all fields of artistic research. Specifically, in the visual arts, Surrealism sought to explore the human subconscious and translate it into artwork through a mechanical writing process based on dream analysis. Pietro Raimondo d'Aragona, born in Italy in 1942, of Spanish origins, has a degree in Sociology. He began his artistic career in the 1960s. In 1987, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Interamerican University of Florida (Department of State, USA) and was appointed Advisor for Art and Literature at Dominion University of Canada. He has held solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, receiving several awards.
