Landscape has always been a central theme in artistic research, both as a setting, as a backdrop, and as a subject itself. The naturalistic depiction of landscape has been a major aspiration for artists of every era. Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance; then with atmospheric rendering in the sixteenth century; and finally with the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism.

The surface is completely two-dimensional, with no regard for spatial depth. The brushstrokes delineate the forms in a very agitated manner. Color is used according to an emotional and spiritual interpretation, almost without any connection to reality. Delving even further into the details, we can see how the artist depicts the houses and the surrounding landscape with a series of almost gestural pictorial marks, vertical or diagonal. Furthermore, we can note a certain structural and geometric tendency, reconstructing reality through the overlapping and interlocking of dynamic chromatic fields. The application of color is dense, almost compact.

As we can see from the analysis of this work, the artist stands out as the author of a highly original landscape production, distinguishing himself for a tendentially experimental attitude, which led him to transfigure reality into expressionist and abstract languages.
