Present and past

The artist explores the relationship between memory and current events through an abstract language of vertical shapes and intense colors. In this work, time is not linear; it is layered, overlapping, and confusing.
The upper, more orderly section seems to speak to the present: it's what we display, what we try to maintain. The lower section, however, seeps and mixes, gets dirty: it's the past that resurfaces, intertwines, and stains the present. Without nostalgia, only awareness.
The spatula doesn't just spread paint, it also incises, scratches, and layers. Every gesture is a transition, every layer a memory.
