Raffaella Carboni - The Abyss

Painter Raffaella Carboni was born in San Benedetto del Tronto in 1986. She works as a graphic designer and lives in Cupra Marittima. She trained at the University of Design in Pescara and later began to feel the need to express herself through painting. Raffaella Carboni's artistic research, based from the beginning on an abstract language, has evolved into a coherent and accomplished informal language of materiality, which the painter interprets in her own original way. For Raffaella Carboni, her work is a space in which to give form to what her unconscious tells her, making it visible and tangible. And this submerged world comes to life through the artist's brushstrokes, color, and materials. Stylistically, all this is expressed in an apparently cold and predominantly monochrome informal style of gray tones. But on these surfaces, the artist's instinct comes to life, becoming thought and transforming into structure, in a balanced interplay of fades, flashes, and liquid consistencies. Raffaella Carboni participated in the Codici d'Arte exhibition, organized by Divulgarti Group in Genoa, in December 2020. In May 2021, she will be present at the Paris Artexpo Prize in Paris. She was also featured in the November-December 2020 edition of ArtNow magazine.
